Notepad++ is a free source code editor and Notepad replacement that supports several languages. It is very powerful application with huge range of options for text processing and minimal CPU resources consumption. advanced utility features - Syntax Highlighting and Syntax Folding options. Syntax Highlighting settings are user defined - not only the syntax highlighting keywords, but also the syntax folding keywords, comment keywords and the operators.

Multi-Document and Multi-View modes are available: You can read and edit several documents at the same time. You can also edit and view the same document in two windows. Editing document in the one window will be displayed in the other one automatically (basically, you are editing the one document, having clone in other window).
